Federal Member for Aston and this year’s Patron of the Knox Relay for Life has urged residents to get involved by signing up or sponsor a local participant to help raise money for the Cancer Council.
The Knox Relay for Life will take place at the Knox Athletics Track in Knoxfield over the weekend of March 23rd and 24th and will involve a number of teams completing an 18 hour run, jog or walking relay. Each individual raises money for their team with all funds going towards the work of the Cancer Council.
Mr Tudge has been appointed the patron of this year’s event and is leading his own team of supporters to raise money for the cause.
“I’m proud to be patron of such a worthwhile and important event for our community,” Mr Tudge said.
“Cancer will have affected just about every local resident, whether personally or family and friends.”
“This is a fantastic fundraising event for Knox which will raise much needed funds for the cancer council.”
“Let’s show the rest of the country the generous spirit of our local community as we raise money to fight cancer,” he said.
