The Federal Member for Aston, the Hon Alan Tudge MP, has announced a third round of funding for the Coalition Government’s National Stronger Regions Fund (NSRF).
The Government has committed $1 billion over five years to boost social and economic development in areas such as Knox to fund priority local infrastructure projects.
Local and non-profit community groups will be eligible to apply for grants between $20,000 and $10 million for infrastructure projects if they are able to match the funding on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
Mr Tudge said that across the first two rounds of funding, the NSRF contributed more than $505 million in projects across Australia.
“The NSRF will ensure that local community groups will have the necessary infrastructure they need to be able to expand, grow and continue to be strong contributors to the Knox community,” Mr Tudge said.
“It is a great opportunity for local groups and the council to improve their infrastructure with assistance and I strongly encourage all eligible community groups to apply,” he said.
