The Federal Member for Aston, Hon Alan Tudge MP, has announced a local ice public forum for Knox residents to be held in Rowville.
Mr Tudge recently welcomed the announcement of a National Ice Action Strategy to tackle the growing ice epidemic, calling on locals to provide feedback on how best tackle the epidemic.
Since calling for feedback, Mr Tudge has received hundreds of responses through calls, letters, emails and on Facebook.
“I will be holding a local Ice Forum seeking your views which I will input into the Government’s action plan,” said Mr Tudge.
“The forum is being held on Monday 13th July, 7:00-8:30pm at the Rowville Uniting Church, Cnr Bridgewater Way and Fulham Rd in Rowville.”
“The forum includes the Minister for Justice, Hon Michael Keenan MP, local police and local social workers who deal with the effects of ice use in Knox each day.
“I have received hundreds of suggestions from local people on how to fight the ice epidemic and this forum is another opportunity for people to have their say and contribute their ideas,” said Mr Tudge.
“This is a national epidemic which we must get on top of,” said Mr Tudge.
