The Federal Member for Aston, the Hon Alan Tudge MP, has announced that Knox Council will receive over $1 million for local roads in 2015-16.
As part of the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery Programme, Knox Council will receive up to $1.017 million to maintain and upgrade local roads throughout Knox in the coming financial year.
Payments are made to Knox Council following receipt of evidence that works have been completed.
This funding allocation is part of the over $3 million Knox Council will receive through to 2019 as part of the Roads to Recovery Program.
Mr Tudge said this was great news for Knox residents and businesses.
“These funds will deliver safer local streets for Knox, allowing Knox Council to repair roads that are long overdue for an upgrade.
“If you know a road you believe should be upgraded, speak up and contact the Council,” Mr Tudge said.
