I recently met with Naomi Bravery and her staff at Direct2Care located at Knox O-Zone, who connect seniors and their family members or carers, with a full range of aged care services that best suit their individual needs.
Direct2Care is designed to help older people find and access the services they need to live fuller, more independent lives in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.
The experienced staff at Direct2Care, provide valuable support by talking to people about their individual circumstances and putting them in direct contact with service providers in their local area. Some of these services include: home with cleaning or housekeeping, showering and dressing, nursing, meals on wheels, social support activities, respite services, support for carers of people with dementia, falls programs, eyecare service, continence aids assistance scheme and advocacy services.
Direct2Care is a member of the Aston Community Forum. They are funded by both the Victorian and Australian governments and administered by UnitingCare.
Anyone who is unsure what aged care services exist in Knoxfield or are uncertain what they might be eligible for, or how to find them, is welcome to contact Direct2Care on 1300 121 121.
