Wattleview Primary School celebrates 40th birthday

Wattleview Primary School community celebrated the school’s 40th anniversary this week since the school first opened its doors on 10 November, 1971.
Federal Member for Aston, Alan Tudge MP, attended the event which drew a huge crowd of parents, neigbours, students and staff.
Mr Tudge said, “I congratulate Wattleview Primary School on the occasion of its 40th Birthday and in particular, the individuals who have over this time, played an important role in caring, teaching and ensuring a happy and safe learning environment for many thousands of students from Ferntree Gully.”
Following the assembly which included performances from students, a fun day for students involved “Back to the 70s” classroom lessons, games and songs, sports competitions and a whole school photograph, BBQ lunch and 70s dance.
