Extending access to Knox preschools
The Federal Member for Aston, Hon Alan Tudge MP, welcomed the Federal Government’s announcement to ensure children in Knox can access an additional 15 hours of preschool per week.
The Government will inject $428 million into preschools across the country under our Jobs for Families child care package, with over $2 million allocated to preschools in Knox.
This investment will benefit over 2,000 four and five year old children enrolled in local preschools.
Mr Tudge said that the Federal Government is committed to ensuring all children have access to quality preschool education, to smooth the transition to full-time school, and to ensure future success.
“We have already made childcare more simple, more affordable and more accessible,” Mr Tudge said.
“This will have a direct impact on families in Knox, helping kids get ready for school; and mums and dads get back into work.”
“We are focused on ensuring children in Knox have the best possible start to their education.”
